What superpower would you want to possess: Teleportation
What’s your favorite cheat meal: Chocolate
If your life was a TV show, which show would it be like?: (or do you wish it were like!): It would be cool to live in a Downton Abbey setting
What 3 things would you bring with you on a deserted island: Machete, pot to boil water, Harry Potter book series
What are the Top 3 most “Frequently Used” Emojis on your phone?? (describe them, post them below, or send in a screen shot of that keyboard from your phone!): Birthday cake, thumbs up, hot/red/sweaty guy.
When did you start Crossfit and why did you choose OP??: I started CrossFit 2 years ago based on a coworker’s recommendation. I wanted to build muscle and didn’t know how to do that on my own.
What was your first Crossfit workout? Or just one memorable workout you’ve done at OP, & tell us about your experience!: My most memorable WOD was my first filthy fifty. That was a few weeks after I joined. I was 10 reps shy of finishing completely, but what was so memorable was one of my 530 am friends just pushing me and working alongside me. That’s when I realized I needed the group setting to help me along.
What are your goals? And how has Crossfit and the OP community helped you accomplish those goals?: My goals are to get my first kipping pull up, improve kicking up to a handstand, and to do 2 double unders in a row. The coaches help by recommending things to do at home or after a WOD, as well as good videos to watch to learn more on the movements. They also help with recommending what to do in the WOD as far as scaling progression to reach my goal.
What are your favorite Crossfit movements & why?: I love watching ring muscle ups, not sure I’ll ever get there though. I like doing wall balls
What is your proudest Crossfit accomplishment?:My first kip-tuck pull up was the first pull up I’ve ever done in my life and was a huge accomplishment for me
What’s something memorable you’ve learned at OP from the coaches, the members, or about yourself that you’d like to share with others?!: CrossFit really is for anyone. I was so scared to join at first thinking I wasn’t athletic or strong enough but we are all just there to improve ourselves and to have fun. I thought I was a lone wolf when it came to working out, but I really needed the group mentality. The 530am group is an amazing crew that I’m so happy to be a part of.
